The TransFaith Forum is a discussion board with multiple permission levels. 

• Some sections of the forum are readable by the anonymous public in order to provide some level of connection even with unregistered visitors. 
• However, you will need to register in order to post to any topic.  With registration, permission is also granted to access the general sections of the forum. 
• Over time, various user groups will be established in order to provide controlled access to other private forum areas.

Some sections of the forum are restricted to specific groups of users.  This allows for some semi-private areas where more sensitive conversations can occur.

• After logging into the TransFaith Network, registered users will see more sections of the forum available for browsing.
• Active participation in the TransFaith Forum or other TransFaith activities is a key way to gain access to private user groups that may be relevant to your experience.
• You can join/exit groups that you are eligible for by visiting the My Groups page.

Keeping up with activity in the many discussions of the forum can be time-consuming.  However, there are several features which can be used to simplify this process.

• You can sign-up to be notified by email of any new activity on a particular thread or on a forum section. 
• You can adjust email notifications to come immediately or in batches.
• Visit The Latest page to see the most recent posts summarized.
