I'm discerning a call to religious life in the Roman Catholic Church, probably as a Dominican friar. Does anyone know of any trans men (or women) who have been able to join a Roman Catholic religious order? I'm looking for any examples at all in the Roman Catholic Church - gender, order, or province don't matter. I'd also like to know if anyone has been able to serve an order as a lay member/tertiary (e.g. Lay Dominicans, Benedictine Oblates, etc.), and if so, if the person had to disclose their medical history. (I'm aware it will come up if I apply to become a friar, but I would like to know if it came up if one applied to be a third-order member.)

Thanks!
